내비게이션 기능과 블랙박스 기능을 동시에 하는 장비를 고민하다가 보니, 휴대폰으로 블랙박스 기능을 만들어놓은 무료 혹은 저렴한 앱이 있군요. 내비게이션은 Google Map이 이미 대세고, 여기에 블랙박스 기능만 추가되면 금상첨화일텐데 말이죠.

토요일 오전에는 한가했지만, 역시나 오후가 되니 엄청난 인파가 몰려오네요. 토요일이 올해 세일 마지막이네요.

Last Saturday was the last day of Boxing day week. It was ok in the morning but a lot of people came to the outlet in the afternoon. This place is one of the best spots to take photos of the plane landing. I don't like shopping except for one place, the chocolate shop. If you are here, then stop by Lindt, the chocolate shop. You can leave the shop without a box of chocolates. 

크리스마스가 지나서야 내리는 눈을 보고 있다보니, 뒷 뜰에 코요테 한 마리가 찾아왔네요. 이 녀석을 직접 보긴 처음인데, 자주 지나다닌다네요. 야생에서 생활하는 짐승이라서인지 애완용 개와는 다른 느낌입니다.

창밖으로 아기 곰이 교실을 들여다 보고 있는 장면이라네요. 아이들이랑 창문을 사이에 두고 손을 대보기도 하고 즐거운 시간을 보냈다는데. 근처에 어미 곰도 있을텐데 ^^

신기하게도 학교에 곰이 종종 온다는데, 애들이 좋아서 그러는지, 아니면 먹이감으로 생각해서인지.. ㅎㅎㅎ

밴쿠버에서 음식물 쓰레기통에 넣을 수 있는 것을 알아보겠습니다. 다양한 국가에서 오기 때문에, 잘 안지키는 것 중에 하나가 바로 음식물 쓰레기인데요, 어렵지는 않습니다만, 손에 묻을까봐 그러는지 비닐봉투에 넣어서 그냥 버리는 사람들이 의외로 많습니다. 비닐봉투 내용물만 넣고 비닐봉투는 별도의 쓰레기 통에 넣어야 합니다.

살고있는 유닛이 도로변이 아니라 안쪽 숲속 방향이라서 가끔 야생 동물들이 방문한다. 청솔모, 너구리, 벌새, 그리고 늦가을이 되면 조그만 개울을 따라서 연어들이 거슬러 올라간다. 오늘도 역시 관찰력이 예민한 와이프가 발견하고 알려주자, 잽싸게 카메라로 찍었다. 똑똑하게 생긴 녀석이네.

We had a visitor today, a blue heron, in the backyard. My unit's terrace faces the forest, and wild animals or birds visit this small place often. Squirrels, raccoons, hummingbirds come usually, and salmons will go upstream soon. My wife is very keen and found this guy first. I quickly brought a camera to take a photo of him. It looks cute and well grown.
